Verulam is a town just north of Durban and inland. It was associated with
the Wesleyan settlers under the Byrne immigration scheme (1849-51) and
Moreland was Byrne's agent in South Africa. There is a book written about
him and the scheme and Irons' name is listed in the index. The book is
called "Natal Settler-Agent" by Dr John Clark ISBN 0 86961 019 8. There are
passenger lists in the book.
