REPLY : Nothing on Kilian family. Just a further note on the Nefdts. While
walking the waterfront of Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, Canada, I overheard a
very strikingly lovely accent. I confronted the speakers and discovered
that they were a young married couple from Durban; newly settled this last
year in Port Moody, in Vancouver - computer specialist and wife. They were
showing off their new country to their parents - who were from FISHHOEK,
Cape. (Its a Small world). I mentioned your Nefdt name and my "lead" to
other Nefdts in Fishhoek - but supposed that ex-Mrs. Nefdt - Mrs Ethel
Cronwright - was "probably dead by now". They assured me that she was
definitely not; that the Cronwright family owned a block of valuable
shopping malls in downtown Fishhoek; and that Mrs. Ethel Cronwright was
alive and kicking; in fact, she had been the subject of a recent write up
in the local newspaper !

Maybe a telephone call to Fishhoek - on my behalf - could put you in touch
with her - and find out about her branch of the Nefdt family.

Incidently, as an very old ex-pat, it is a very lovely soft accent !

Kindest regards,

Ken from Vancouver Island, Canada.
