Well, I've got my grandmother's ancestors back to about 1850's and none
of them had the money to even own slaves. As far as I can tell, no
african-american blood is in the line. The strangest part is my cousin
is blond haired and blue eyed. Her husband is red haired and green
eyed. The baby is blond haired and blue eyed. So far she is the only
"white" child at the sickle cell anemia clinic receiving treatment! I
will check with my aunt and see if porphyria is the more correct
diagnosis.
