Hello,
I hope someone can help me find information about my great-grandmother.
Her name was Hendrika Aletta Botha, born date unknown in Greytown, Cape
Colony, died date unknown in Kokstad, Cape Province. Married in Greytown,
Natal Colony (again exact date unknown) to Hugh Nourse (b. 1853 d. 1938).
They had eleven children born between abt 1877 and abt 1893. Family
tradition says that Hendrika was a sister of Gen. Louis Botha, the first
Prime Minister of South Africa. I know nothing of her parents or other
ancestors. If she is indeed the sister of someone so significant in South
African history, surely there is published documentation of their family? I
live in the United States and finding such information on South Africa is
nearly impossible.
