Hello All,

I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming you to the South
African Genealogy List.

Our list is starting to attract more and more subscribers and
currently, after only three days of operation has twenty-four
subscribers.

I have received a number of additional questions about the list from
people who are not yet subscribed and I expect them to join shortly.

I would like to ask each of you to send a short message to the list
introducing yourself and sharing with the other subscribers the
surnames of the families you are researching in South Africa.

As a first step, this allows everyone on the list to meet everyone
else. Secondly listing the surnames you are researching may jog someone's
memory, and you could perhaps start sharing information.

I look forward to seeing your submissions to the list shortly.
