Subject: Hickey, Hooper and Enright families in South Africa

My great-grandfather was Frederick William Hickey who was born in London in 1832, and went to South Africa at an early age. He left there in the early 1850's for the Australian goldfields, settling near Bendigo in Victoria. His father James died in Capetown in 1853. His mother's death however has not been located. His mother was Sarah Hickey (nee Banton). Others in the family of James and Sarah (nee Banton) Hickey were: Eliza ch. in London in 1828 and married John David Enright in Cape Town in 1841, Louisa ch. in London in 1828, Mary-Ann ch. London in 1828, Sarah ch. in London in 1828, Charlotte ch. in London in 1830, George b. Cape Town.

Frederick William Hickey married Mary Anne Elizabeth Hooper d. of Robert Hooper and Jane (nee Burns) Hooper in 1859 at Eaglehawk in Victoria (Australia).

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who knows anything of any members of these families.
