Very interesting stuff. I wish I had as much information as you do as I
recently begun my search.
Are your Cavazos and Saenz direct descendents or far away ancestors. My
grandmother was Dolores Cavazos Saenz, b. 1900, my g-grandparents were Simon
Cavazos and Trinidad Saenz of Santiago, Nuevo Leon.
I was born in El Cercado, Santiago, Nuevo Leon and lived there until the age
of 10 so I'm familiar with most of the town you mentioned. My parents for a
short time lived in La Fama, a small town near Santa Catarina. Also, I have
relatives (on the Almaguer side) that live in Allende and around that area.
Since you mentioned Trevino, I also have a uncle by the name of Trevino. He
married my father's sister Gadalupe Alamguer. Cirilo Tevino in his younger
years made and sold chorizo to the whole Santiago region and beyond. He
made a good living and is very well known in that area.
Let me know if there any connections.
Jose
