Mrs. Sarah M. Saunders Lewis, daughter of William M. and Sally Place
Saunders, and widow of Amos C. Lewis, M. D., was born in Alfred, N. Y., July
1, 1843, and died at her home there, June 27, 1913.
In young womanhood she was received into the membership of the First
Seventh Day Baptist Church of Alfred. Excepting some twenty years at
Fordham Heights, N. Y., where Doctor Lewis died in 1901, her life was spent
in the town of her birth. A. E. M.
