yes there was a Greenman shipbuilding yard there and the Greenman had
the church built by a Maxson from Westerly about 1840 (may be off by 10
or so years ) he did it so his SDB workers did not have to go far to
church .I have some papers on the church and the first service (names
time places ) ,I just have to find them .
