settled first in westerly RI or Stonington Conn . where he was a ship
carpenter. Prior to 1752 he removed with his family to Squam , Monmouth
Co, NJ where there was S D B Settlement and Church near the Ocean .
Church records show that the last Sabbath in Feb 1752 Thomas Babcock and
Thomas Davis were chosen deacons of Shrewsbury S D B Church In NJ. He
