W. J. Odom Passes In Florida

Mr. Willie J. Odom , retired business man and influential citizen
of Fort Myers, Fla. , passed away at his home there last week
after several months of declining health. Mr. Odom was 78 years
of age and was born in Marlboro county , son of the late Daniel J.
Odom and Harriet Newton Odom. He lived most his life in Florida
and enjoyed visits back home with friends and relatives and always
came to Gibson to visit his nieces, Mrs. J.C. Gibson and Mrs.
K. A. Hunsucker.
Time has a way of dealing so gently with some that they seem
always to possess the habit of youthfulness and this was true
of Mr. Odom. Always bright-minded and always happy in his
associations and friendships. We shall miss this genial, friendly
man and we extend sympathy to Mrs. Odom and her daughters.
