Venira Q. Holmes

Mrs. Venira Quick "Beady" Holmes, 79, of 1010 Hay St., Fayetteville, died
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Holmes was a member of Hay Street United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hay Street United
Methodist Church by Dr. John Tyson. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial
Park.

Mrs. Holmes is survived by her husband, James A. Holmes Jr. of the home;
two sons, James A. "Trip" Holmes III of Raleigh and Boyd T. Holmes of
Laurinburg; two sisters, LaHentz Sercy of Bennettsville, S.C., and Tilley
Brandt of Bonita Springs, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers and Breece
Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Hay Street United Methodist Church, 320 Hay St.,
Fayetteville, NC 28301; or to Antioch United Methodist Church, 568 Antioch
Church Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512
