Winston Miller, 85, widower of Lottie Duncan Miller of Isle of Palms, SC
entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 in a local hospital. The
relatives and friends of W. Winston Miller are invited to attend his funeral
service Friday, August 29, 2003 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL AT
11:00 o clock. Burial will be private. Friends may call at STUHR S MOUNT
PLEASANT CHAPEL Thursday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 o clock. Mr. Miller was born
November 14, 1917 in Dillon, SC, son of Furman Miller and Lilly Gaddy Miller.
He retired from Cameron & Barkley as Shipping and Warehouse Manager. He was
one of the original members of First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms,
SC and was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Miller was also a member of
the Sumter Guard, the Charleston Rod & Reel Club, and retired Captain of the
South Carolina National Guard. Surviving are two sons, William W. Miller, Jr.
and his wife, Frances Cart of Mount Pleasant, SC; Gary Furman Miller of Johns
Island, SC; one daughter, Karen Miller Prohaska and her husband, Paul David of
Mount Pleasant, SC; one sister, Ruby M. Williams of Dillon, SC; four
grandchildren, Frances Miller Cote, David Prohaska, Michael Prohaska and Nicole
Prohaska; and one great grandchild, Reiley Katherine Cote. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to The Hope Foundation, c/o Disabilities Board of Charleston
County, P.O. Box 22708, Charleston, SC 29413. A memorial message may be written
