RED SPRINGS - Mrs. Ruth Miller Lane, 81, of 207 S. Edinborough St., died
Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Wesley Pines Retirement and Nursing Home in
Lumberton.



Mrs. Lane was a member of First Baptist Church. She was born 1921, the
daughter of Roshell and Elizabeth Small Miller, Lake View, Dillon County,
South Carolina.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church by
Dr. Paul Jones. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.



Mrs. Lane is survived by her husband, Preston Lane of Red Springs; four
brothers, Bill Miller of Lake View, S.C., and Brantley Miller, Carlos Miller
and Roshell Miller Jr., all of Red Springs; and three sisters, Rometer
Bailey and Nellie Flowers, both of Lake View, and Elizabeth Snipes of Fork,
S.C.



The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler Funeral Home
& Cremation Services in Red Springs
