This is the first time I have attempted to post to a
list, hope I am doing this right. I have been trying
to locate information on my Great Grandfather-
Dietrich Heinrich Gripp b. May 1, 1875, Itzehoe came
to the United States in 1992 from Hamburg, along with
a sister Margaretha b. Sept. 4, 1872 and 2 cousins. I
have been to the local Family History Center the only
film they had listed was one on church records for
that area and time period. I looked it over but did
not find any GRIPP listed. Does anyone know where the
civil records may be kept for this area and time
period. Also how far is Lubschenkamp from Itzehoe
some of his brothers & sisters show that as a
birthplace. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
