I am trying to establish where a child born to a JONKER family in 1836,
who trekked from Grahamstown sometime after 1829, and baptised a later
child in Winburg in 1842, is likely to have been baptised 'en route' so
to speak between Grahamstown and Winburg.
(Father was Pieter Jonker b3c1d3 and mother Sara Albertha vd Bank)
Can anyone suggest a possible route?
Would Colesberg have been a possibility?
Any other detail regarding this trek or this family would be very
welcome.
