Ok... I have a question, and forgive my stupidity.

I am talking about ships from England to S.A. and returning from and to the same places between 1881 and approx 1895. Specifically miners in Johannesburg. Did all the ships land at the Cape? Or where there other ports of call that received ships and passengers bound for Johannesberg and those leaving there to return to England, and is anyone familiar enough with this to tell me if there is a ship's list registry of any kind in the Records sections in England that houses these? Or all of these records in S.A.?

And again forgive my lack of knowledge here, I'm just beginning in this vein, left it for last because of just this reason, I know nothing and the other countries in the family were easier to do first.
