I joined when the notice came out. Possibly an introduction would
help. I'm from northern Idaho in the United States. My main interest is
in the Plumer campaign to relieve Mafeking in the South African War of
1899-1902. However the period of southern Africa history from 1870
through 1906 is of interest. I'm a collector of military artifacts and
books on the subject. I have been a visitor in Zambia, Zimbabwe,
Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.
