Ray,

Got your transmission twice. I believe we both made our points and folks can
take from our opinions what they will.

However, I must comment on one thing you wrote:

"Jerry, you wrote something in your message that disturbed me. You wrote
about what John (TPM) might say about our discussions. > "Heck, what
> difference does it make now?" If we are going to sanitize our ancestral
> history, it makes a great difference."

Ray, I did not mean to disturb you and I believe you realize that you took my
comments out of context. The message that I gave when I wrote that
was...........we know he served. If he served Guilford Ct. House and/or
King's Mt is not really important. We know which side he took.

You also wrote.

I have no idea where you're going with this. You surely don't mean that
those who joined Col Wm Camplbell (the Commander at King's Mt.) and went off
to join Gen Greene in the Carolinas were NOT fighting for freedom of our
nation. They were certainly doing more than just defending their homes from
the Indians, Tories, and the English...........were they not?

Frankly, I think we should stick more to exploring the things we can
determine about our ancestors than trying to speculate about their motives.
That will only get us into trouble, arguements, and disagreements. We don't
need that.........do we?

We've looked at the facts, we've shared our opinions, we disagreed. Let's
let it lay until more facts are available.

Jerry
