I don't think we can say he was wrong about Wythe Co. He
just didn't say "what is today Wythe Co.". I have run
across a lot of family data where the writer gives the
place of an event in current terms according to the time
that writer is writing in, not necessarily the location
as of the event's date. I tend to believe those who are
living a lot closer in time to the people I am
researching than I am, unless I have solid proof they
were mistaken. Just my opinion. Patti
