Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say that I agree with Lyla,,,,,A discussion of the facts in
each generation would be beneficial to all of us involved in research.
Sometimes we
take others work for fact, when in fact, we should always be checking and
double
checking those sources. I have cleared up a lot of mysteries in my
research with
sticking to what we know as fact, and not veering from it.
We all need to remember that we are just like a detective, sometimes the
evidence
we find leads us to believe the legends and stories we are told by our
grandfathers
and grandmothers, but then when you go to check and double check those facts,
sometimes they tell a totally different story.
With the web & Internet today, when incorrect information get disseminated,
intentional or not, it is going to be harder to correct it, as it goes out to
more people
quicker.
I think that a discussion of all of the facts in regard to Benjamin and his
family
is a great idea. I also want to thank all of those people out there who are
contributing
all of their work and ideas. By the way, if anyone is interested I do have
Kelley's
"Adventures On The Western Waters," two volumes, would be happy to share or
do lookups.
Many thanks to all of the cousins out there!
Michael
