That was the fastest response to a query I've ever had! Thanks a bundle! I
never had gotten around to looking for John's line. I probably could have
found he answer myself had I made the effort and I thank you for making it
for me. It is not that I am lazy; I spend about eight hours a day working at
genealogy and some of the more obscure lines escape my attention.
By the way, my interest in Mercy Westcott was due to the fact that Enoch
Place (2) left "a cowe to cousin Mercy Westcott."
The only possible way they could have been related was through
Elizabeth Stafford, and only if she was the Elsabeth, daughter of Thomas
Playce and Emmett, who was christened in Drypool, Yorkshire, England, in
1610. So you can fill in that blank after Elizabeth. Stukely, incidentally,
married Juliana Marchant.
