Nathaniel Mowry, (born 1644; married to Joanna Inman in 1666; died March
24,1717-18 ) and his children are discussed on pages 29-54 of "The
Descendants of Nathaniel Mowry of Rhode Island" by William A Mowry, 1878.
Little is mentioned about Patience and nothing is mentioned about Martha.

The "SUPPLEMENT to the Descendants of Nathaniel Mowry of Rhode Island" by
William A Mowry, 1900 lists on page 18 Patience Mowry, daughter of Nathaniel
Mowry, married Joseph Smith, son of Edward and Amphillis (Angell) Smith. she
died in 1750. He was born Oct 12, 1680 and died Feb 17, 1734. Ten children
are listed. On page 19 Martha Mowry, daughter of Nathaniel Mowry, married
May 8, 1718, John Smith, son of Benjamin and Mercy (Angell) Smith. She died
in 1775. He ws born Dec 8, 1694 and died March 28, 1778. Five children are
listed.

Joseph Smith was grandson of Christopher Smith; John Smith was grandson of
John Smith the Miller. Both of these SMITH families were in Providence in
the mid 1600s but were NOT related.

Amphillis Angel, wife of Edward Smith, was daughter of Thomas Angell and
Alice Ashton; Mercy Angell, wife of Benjamin Smith. was granddaughter of
Thomas Angell and Alice Ashton and daughter of John Angell and Ruth Field.
