Not stupid at all, Evelyn. PRDH stands for "Le Programme de recherche en démographie historique" which translated into English
means "The Research Program in Historical Demography". It is a program undertaken at the University of Montreal to reconstruct the
population existing in Quebec from 1621 until 1799 currently, with the exception of certain burial records which go to 1825. I
believe the aim is to extend it to some more current date eventually. It is believed by most people to contain the most accurate
information for the Quebec population.
