Hello to all you wonderful Listers and again a Very Happy New year.!
Re: My Brick Wall ( well... at least one of them!) Best Bill gave it his
"BEST" , but
could not knock it down for me, however, I thought I would just ask the
"List" for
suggestions. (Really appreciated your efforts Best Bill!!).
This is what I have re "facts", from a handwritten record sent to my mother
in the
early 1940"s (from Ottawa, Ont) of her family record:
John HILLMAN - born 28 Sept - 1788 -
Married - 22 March 1810 - Where - Papineauville
Died - July 18 - 1872 age 84
married - Catherine CUMMINGS - born Sept 15, 1789 - (no mention of where?)
To them were born 12 children, the first child Amelia HILLMAN.........was
born....
--June 12 1809 !! according to this record. It would appear that they
married
abut 9 months after the birth of this child.
I would very much like to find the record of their marriage and any details
it might
reveal.
Since I live in Whitby On and a "Senior" with some difficulty to get around
(due to
Arthritic condition), appreciate any help/suggestions.
Sorry for this lengthy query/posting. Many thanks for any help.
Kind Regards
God Bless,
Dorothy E. Morris
