The only source I have for Mary Pierson/Pearson who m. John Scarborough
agrees with your birth date and that she was reportedly the daughter of
Edward Pierson/Pearson and Sarah Burgess. The source for my information
is from "History of The Bye Family and Some Allied Families", Arthur
Edwin Bye, Correll Printing Co., Inc. Easton, PA, 1956 found at
Haverford College Library. Sarah Pierson/Pearson married John Bye and
Martha Pierson/Pearson married Nathaniel Bye. They were sister of Mary
Pierson/Pearson. This same source gives the following marriage record:
"Edward Pearson of Pownall Fee, parish of Wilmslow, Cheshire, son of
Laurence and Elizabeth Pearson of the same place, married first month
6th 1671, Sarah Burgess, daughter of Richard and Katherine Burgess.
Their marriage certificate is copied at length in the records of the
late William H. Jenks of Philadelphia.

Blackshaw, John Bancroft, Robert Milner, Robert Peirson, Hannah
ffawlkner, Hannah Cash, Richard Burgess, Henry Janney, Thomas Pott,

Bancroft, Mary Pearson

Alice Blackshaw, born Burgess, was the wife of Randall Blackshaw of
Holingee Manor. Her son, Nehemiah, married Elizabeth Bye.

Early in 1687, Edward Pearson left England for Pennsylvania with his
wife and family. His certificate, dated 4th month 1st, 1687, from a
meeting held in the house of Ralph Brooke in Bram Hall, Cheshire, was
signed by:

John Bancroft, Thos Pott, Rich. Smith, Wm. Janney, Thos. Walsh, John
ffeirmeley, Harry Burgess, John Hobson, John Lamley, Jr., Ralph Brooke,
John Hough, John Bradley, John Walker.

The Burgesses, also of Wilmslow, were related to the Janneys."

I am looking for information on Mary Pierson/Pearson who married John
Scarborough (1667-1726/27). I have an uncited source that purports Mary
was
the daughter of Edward Pierson/Pearson and his wife Sarah Burgess. The
birth
date I have for Mary is 17 May 1673 in Cheshire, England. However I have
just found another family group sheet for Edward and Sarah showing a
daughter Martha born in 1673. Is there proof that Mary was a daughter of
Edward Pierson/Pearson? Any information is appreciated.
