Cheska: I do not have the date and location of the marriage of John Martin to Hannah Dilworth, but if I had to guess I would check Old Swede's in Wilmington. Their first child, Moses, was born 2.25.1748/49. Other children were John b. 2.28.1750/51, George b. 6.9.1754, Joseph b. 3.26.1757, and Hannah b. 6.6.1761. John died 11.26.1761 in Birmingham. Hannah then married 3.16.1763 at Birmingham Mtg. John Woodward, son of Richard Woodward and Mary Nayle. This was John Woodward's third marriage. The other wives were Ann Pyle in 1729 and Hannah Vernon in 1750. Some of my information comes from DILWORTH FAMILIES OF AMERICA by Virginia W. Bushman. I do not know if this John Martin was disowned in 1743.

Barclay:
When and where did John MARTIN m. Hannah DILWORTH?
Was he the John MARTIN who was disowned 1743 by
Goshen MM? There were Dilworth's at Goshen MM but
I don't see any Hannahs.

Hi,
I have the following Smith family. John Smith 1645-1714 of Harby,
Leicestershire, England arrived in PA with his wife Eleanor Dolby
(c1653-1708). Both respected Quakers. He died in Bethel township.
Children known to me -- William; Mary b 1686 m William Garrett;
Sarah; Martha. Some of the info is from Smith's "History of Delaware
County."
