Cousin found this info on a John Smith. Thought it was interesting history, no matter what. I'm a Combs descendent...

Dad's lines had everything but the kitchen sink...my ancestor was shanghaied in Europe and jumped ship in the Boston Harbour in the 1600s. He lit out for upper Maine, where the family remained and married with locals until late about 1800, when my gggggrandpa apparently got those feet a itching and left for the "West."
