Can anyone tell me if one can get some type of a official marriage record
from the middle 1700's? There seems to be a conflict on the last name of
the wife of William Cox, born ca 1726 Mill Creek, New Castle county De. He
was the son of William Cox and Catherine Kinkey. William and Juliatha were
married 6 September 1755, Cane Creek MM, Orange County, NC. Our family has
always thought that Carr was the correct last name, but now I see it as Cox
also. A cousin has a marriage record for them with the name of Carr. I
have not seen this and would like to "see for myself".
