Hi:
This weekend I was thrilled to find Quaker ancestors. I found my ggg grandparents Isaiah Townsend (1813-1859) and Harriet Townsend (1817-1901)buried in the Cornwall Friends meeting House cemetery. Her mother (Mary Townsend (1785-1849)m. to Samuel Townsend) is there too. Isaiah and Harriet's son Edward is my mystery ancestor. He is only listed in a family genealogy and I have no dates or places except that he probably lived in Syracuse and was still alive in 1864 when his daughter Helen Louise was born. He was married to Catherine Munger and he died when Helen was a little girl. Anyone know anything about Edward?
I have a whole series of Townsends dying in their 30s and 40s probably of heart disease. Any relatives know of familial coronary heart disease?
