Jacob Overman married Hannah [ last name unknown] who died in Wethersfield,
Conn. He married Dorothy Porter, there, and moved to N. C. with his
children by his first wife. From his will, it would appear that Dorothy was
thinking about going back to Conn. after he died.
She had no children by him. Kay Lamb

> Joyce Overman Bowman referred to the wife of Jacob Overman as "Hannah". I
found an abstract of his will in NC Historical and Genealogical Register, v1
p 359, in which he mentions his wife as "Dorothy". The will was dated
9/12/1715. Do I have the wrong Jacob or did he have a wife that I don't know
about?

that his wife, Hannah's surname was WISWALL; 3) that Jacob Overman's
father's name was Edward Overman; & 4) that Sarah Wilson Belman's Mother
was Ann Blount.
