These names are from the Bush River MM Quaker cemetery on Dennis Dairy Rd.,
Newberry SC, recorded in July, 2000. A marker on the road designates it as
a "historical site" Of the "hundreds" said to have been buried there, only
a few markers were left. We speculated that perhaps the very early ones
were wooden, and had disintegrated. It was very overgrown with thick brush,
vines and trees, so there were some we could see, but not get to, and no
doubt some under all that that tangle we couldn't even see. Some of the
accessible ones were unreadable, fallen face down, or broken, but my
daughter and I copied everything we could. We did not find our ancestor
(Isaac Hasket/Haskit) who req. a cert. to move there from Pasquotank NC MM
in 1781, and died in 1782, though we feel sure this is his resting place.
