Haye Guys

I have a problem....I am looking for information about Abraham Scott who had
a daughter by the name of Martha m. Peter Bray. I am almost sure he is from
Pa, and moved to NC. Ih ave found a deed in Northampton Co. NC 1747 where he
deeded some land to his daughter Martha Bray.

Family story is that Abraham was from Pa where he was a man of importance.
Boy I just can't find the link. I do know his son was born 1743 David Bray
Sr. in Brunswich Co. Vir. But found no records of this family in Va. other
than this.

Also...there is some who say Martha Scott Bray was a free woman of color.
Would she have been a Quaker? Would she have had land deed to her in 1747.
Just call me stupid....I just don't know.
