The records of the Canadian meetings are housed with the Canadian Yearly
Meeting Archives in the Dorland Room, Pickering College, Newmarket,
Ontario.

Many, but not all, of the older records have been microfilmed and the
microfilm is available at the University of Western Ontario, Archives of
Ontario, and National Archives of Canada.

The Canadian Friends Historical Association is working on indexing names
in the records. The master index is at Pickering College. A few years ago,
the portion of the index covering Yonge Street was published-- a revised
version of the Yonge Street and Pelham Meetings are in the works.

For more information on the content of the yearly meeting records, and a
listing of available records, consult the web site for the Canadian
Friends Historical Association.

The web site has a brief introduction to the history of Canadian Quakers,
but people doing extensive research should at least start with Arthur G.
Dorland's history of Canadian Friends (1927; revised 1968).

Also consider joining the Canadian Friends Historical Association which
publishes a Journal, newsletter, holds an annual meeting with a speaker or
speakers on Canadian Quaker history topics, and undertakes other projects
to support historical research into Canadian Quaker history.
