Rene'e,
I am so sorry for all the trouble you have had with poor Brutus. It is not
his fault, as we know, that he does not know how to behave. I say shame on the
owners. It is very irresponsible of them. I can appreciate how you feel
about Brutus being put down, but it is the right thing for him, as well as others
he may encounter in an adverse way. This may save the dog some unkinder fate
and also may save some child's life, somewhere down the road.
I feel for you, the dog and the child to whom the dog belongs. I am an
animal lover and know the pain of losing one. But you did the right thing and the
kind, loving thing. I do hope you recover well from this experience and
please, do not feel any guilt for doing the right thing.
