While I understand the idea behind everyone posting what group they are a
part of... let's NOT do it...In other words DON'T. I don't want 245
different pieces of mail that say "I'm from group....." If you are looking
for others to communicate with, please use the list to post your query and
it can include what group you descend from, but don't use it just to say
that you are from a given group.
In the past, we would periodically post a list of subscribers with their
group affiliation, and if desired, maybe we can update that list and post
the names, e-mail addresses, and group affiliation for those who wish to be
included on the list. That will at least make the list available to all
those on the list on that given day, and those who choose to search the
archives. Now one could also search the archives for the prior posting of
the list. Another option would be a listing at a web site for those that
want there names so posted. But I don't want to make it any easier for a
potential spammer to gather the names of the people on this list and then
have each of you privately bombarded with spam.
I'm open to discussing options to allow you to hook up with others in the
same group, but I don't want everyone to just post their group affiliation.
