A few years ago I purchased the index for the Commemorative Biographical
Record of Northeastern Pennsylvania. I then realized that it was almost
impossible to locate the actual books here in New Jersey. I finally had a set
reprinted and now I am the proud owner of said books! I would be happy to do
look-ups for anyone interested, however my copy of the index is currently on loan
at a local library. So if you're like me and have access to the index but
no idea how to find the book, email me at
(mailto:) and I'll be happy to do look-ups for you. I should have the index back
in a few months and then I'll be able to find names for you myself. These
books were from 1900 and include the counties of Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike and
Monroe. They contain "Biographical sketches of prominent and representative
citizens, and many of the early settled families."
