Kaye,
You were wondering about Isaac Shoemaker, Sr.'s, widow Elizabeth and asked
for any more info about what happened after his death. I don't know if you
already have this info or not, but I found this today:
Mortgage 17 July 1778, debt of 20 pounds (Deed book D-1, Northampton Co.,
PA):
Mortgagor: Ebenezer Taylor, Delaware Twp
Mortgagee: Elizabeth Shoemaker, Delaware Twp, executrix for Isaac Shoemaker,
deceased.
50 acres, messauge (dwelling house), and tract in Delaware Township formerly
in possession of Isaac Shoemaker, deceased. Elizabeth Shoemaker was to hold
the land for a term of 2 years.
Witnesses: Ezekiel Shoonoven, Joseph Chestnor; acknowledgment of witness
Chestnor before James VanAuken, esq., Justice of Peace, 31 July 1778.
Recorded 7 March 1782.
Hope this is new information for you.
