Hey, folks...

In order to unsubscribe from any list on Rootsweb, you need to do the
following. I'll use this list as an example:

1. Determine whether you are on the list or the digest mode of the list.
This will indicate to which request address you need to send your email.

2. For the list, address a NEW email to
(mailto:) . For digest, the address is
(mailto:) .

3. In the subject line and the body of the email, type "unsubscribe" (sans
quotation marks) in BOTH areas. Hit send. An acknowledgement email should
be sent shortly thereafter. Do not freak out at this email; it's the server
bot letting you know that your request was processed. It will also give you
instructions on how to re-subscribe at a later date if desired.

Let me know if you're having any trouble getting off the list by these
means; the list-admin can manually remove listers, but this should only be in
unusual cases.
