Subject: Migration from Sussex Co., NJ to PA

Does anyone have any published information about why the people below
migrated
from Sussex County, NJ ca 1776-1780 to Derry Township, Cumberland County, Pa
which became Mifflin County, Pa. ca 1785.

Right before 1790, these people were selling their property and
moving to other counties in Pa.: Huntingdon Co., Washington Co. and
Jopeph Westbrook and his son Richard Westbrook we've found moving to
NC then to Adams County, OH.

The surnames from the Minisink area who migrated to Derry Twp., Cumberland
County, Pa.:
WESTBROOK, DUPRE, De WITT, and GUNSALES/z, KROM / CRUM and DAVIS.

Joseph WESTBROOK, b. ca 1730 & his 2nd wife Debra KROM
Children by 1st wife Elizabeth KUYKENDALL:
.. Levi WESTBROOK bp. 1753 & wife Catharine ** (MAIDEN NAME UNKNOWN)**
.. Levi & Catharine married ca 1774 but I've never found a record of their
marriage.
.. Annetje WESTBROOK bp 1750 & husband Daniel DUPRE
Children by 2nd wife Debra KROM:
.. Richard b. 1760; Maria b. 1763; Joseph, Jr. b. ca 1775;

Sarah WESTBROOK bp. 1735 (sister of Joseph Westbrook above)
& husband of Jacobus GONSALES/Z s/o Manuel GONSALES/Z II & Reymerig QUICK.
Their children: Manuel, Daniel, Richard, Jacobus, Sarah, Benjamin &
Samuel Gonsalus married: Heyltje De WITT d/o Jacob De WITT & Lea Cortregt
