There is a Rohrbacher in the current Wayne County telephone directory (in
Newfoundland) and several Robackers in Sterling. If your ancesters owned
property in Wayne County (or Pike County), there would be deeds to research,
and of course if they left wills they would also be at the courthouse. I
don't know how much the Wayne County Historical Society would have, but it's
worth a check. They have family files, local history books, tax assessments
(from 1850 on) and other resources. Their very reasonable research fee also
includes the courthouse (which does not do research itself). I believe the
Pike Co. HS also does research, but I'm not sure.
