I am looking for the Brigance surname in PA.

According to the 1850 census on a few of the Brigance family members, some
were born in PA between 1740 and 1775.

I have been to the Cumberland County Historical Society (believed to be the
county where they lived) but found nothing. Went to the Pa. National Archives
in Harrisburg and found no Land Records (didn't have time to look up other
records). Have also been to the Genealogical Society of Pa. in Philly and found
nothing on the Family Tree Maker CD's that they have for Pa. I plan to return
to the Genealogical Society soon to do more research.

Have also done searches, etc. on the Pa. site for USGenWeb and others, with
no luck.

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
