Bell's history of Northumberland Co.(ca.1895) states that the old courthouse
bell, Inscribed 'George Hedderley, Philadelphia, 1794' is now in the
possesion of the Sunbury Presbyterian Church. Can anyone confirm if the bell
still exists? On the same note bells by this founder were hung in courthouses
all over the Eastern states between 1794 and ca.1813. Any sightings of
existing bells would be gratefully received.
