Mrs. Bloom, 44, of Patton Dies
Patton - Mrs. Frances (Sharbaugh) Bloom, 44, wife of Griffith Bloom of
Patton, died last midnight at the Spangler Hospital, where she had been a
patient
for the past five weeks. A daughter of F. C. and Malvina (Eckenrode)
Sharbaugh,
she was born at Ebensburg on July 31, 1899. Survivors include her mother,
who resides here, her husband and nine children - Mrs. .John Sherry and Mrs.
Bernard Risbon, both of Patton; Barbara, Francis, Jane, Sarah, Gerald, James
and
Anne, all at home. She was a sister of Mrs. Charles Willoughby, Washington
DC; Mrs. Edwin Short, Patton; Mrs. Everett Rowland, Springfield, O.; Mrs.
Henry
Caldwell, Spangler; Mrs. James McGuire, Cresson; Mrs. William Glass,
Ebensburg; Robert Sharbaugh, Baton Rouge, LA, and Ensign Joseph Sharbaugh,
Chicago.
Mrs. Bloom was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Patton American
Legion
Post, the Ladies Auxiliary of the LOOOM and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Funeral
services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's
Catholic
Church by Rev. Father Florian Bergmann, OSB. Interment will be in St.
Benedict's Cemetery at Carrolltown under the direction of the Stevens
Funeral Home.
