I am still looking for more information about David Smallcomb, born in
Johnstown in October of 1886. His siblings were Jessie, Edith, and Catherine. He
was gassed in WWl and died in the 30's. I don't know if he ever married or had
children. I have him on the census for 1900 and a family tree from another
family member with the mention of his wartime activities but that's it. His
parents were Aaron and Annie (Price) Smallcomb.
Also looking for more infomation about Catherine Smallcomb Seeley, born in
England, grew up on 235 Iron Street in Johnstown, married Michael Seeley, a
policeman, in 1905, had a daughter, Eleanor Seeley, in 1906, whom I found on the
1910 census, 1st ward.
Just FYI..the Smallcomb clan will often add the "e" to the end of their
name..and go by Smallcombe even if Smallcomb is on their birth certificates. So
if anyone comes across either spelling it could still be one of my ancestors.
Thanks,
Alice
