Not only is the agent missing, but by this reporter's account

Garman's Mill jumped the county line from Cambria to Indiana.

Don't believe all that you read in the paper.

GARMAN'S MILLS AGENT MISSING

Domestic Troubles Probably Caused J. B. Lowman to Leave Home.

The local express authorities have been notified that the express

agent at Garman's Mills, John B. Lowman, has been missing the past two

weeks and his whereabouts are unknown. Lowman was also postmaster at

Garman's Mills, which is in Indiana county, near Barnesboro, on a branch

of the Pennsylvania railroad.

An investigation of the affairs of both offices has shown nothing wrong

and it is believed that domestic troubles are at the bottom of his disappearance,

he having written to his wife, shortly after leaving, that he would not return. Since

then nothing has been learned of his wereabouts.

Lowman's wife has been in charge of the express and postoffice since his

mysterious disappearance and the matter of appointing a successor to him is being

considered by the postal authorities and by the express company.
