During the time of the recent discussion as to why some people seemed able to
assess immigrantships.com and others weren't, I sent an email to the "Help"
section at the site.
This is the reply I just got back. I don't know how much help it will be to
others, but as a
"computerly challenged" person, I think they are trying to tell me that
perhaps the program/format/or whatever between some of those servers and the ships
site "just don't play well together"

Hi,
I am not sure who I am replying to exactly, but it appears to be your
individual email address rather than the list.
I can access our site using:
immigrantships.org with or without the http part.
It also works if you use:
www.immigrantships.org
but that isn't technically correct, it still goes through.
immigrantships.com is not correct, and that may be the problem.
It is not clear which address was typed in, but those are my suggestions.
Let me know if there are any problems, and thank you for visiting ISTG.
Sincerely,
Don Schmalbeck
