my sister and I were concerned for years that we would end up cleaning
out our parents attic after they were gone. hopes, dreams, and prayers have
been answered. my father and I are doing now. my mother is not objecting
like she did for years.

question: we have at least 3 copies of the 1889 first edition
Johnstown Flood book. two books have the picture cover while the third book
is just a plain cover but still dated 1889. one of the books has the cover
torn off but still in good condition.
Would it be worth while to get the book restrung and put back
together? What will it do to the value? Obviously, the value is not as much
with the cover torn off.

Thank you for anyone who can help.

I would rather belong to a poor nation that was free than to a rich
nation that had ceased to be in love with liberty. We shall not be poor if
we love liberty.
