RAINEY, James, died Tuesday, 21 ult, at Alexandria, Huntingdon County, aged
25 years (Thursday, 08 Mar 1832)
REES, David, of near Ebensburg, died this morning after a long indisposition
leaving a wife and seven children, of whom the eldest is only 13 years of
age. He was 40 years old (Thursday, 14 Nov 1833)
RHEESE, Rees, died Sunday morning last, near Ebenburg, aged 68 years. He was
oone of the first settlers of this area, arriving from Wales about 35 years
ago. (Thursday, 10 May 1832)
RHEY, James, eldest son of John of Pittsburgh and late student at Jefferson
College, died 1st inst, of the cholera, between Wheeling and Cincinnati,
after 12 hours of illness (Thursday, 13 Jun 1833)
RICHARDS, Simon, and Eliza JAMES, both late of Pottsville, married 24th inst,
on the Tunnel Section of the Portage Railroad, by Rev Dr APPLETON (Thursday,
29 Sep 1831)
RINGLER, Jonathan, of this place, died Tuesday last at the Summit, caused by
an injury received on the railroad a few days previously (Tuesday, 16 Mar
1837)
RIPPEY, George, one of the editors of the "Pennsylvania Argus", died Sunday,
28th of last month, at Greensburg, in his 24th year (Thursday, 08 Aug 1833)
ROBERTS, within the last week, William ROBERTS Esq, one of the commissioners
of this county, lost both his wife and 4 children. He wife and 3 children
were buried on Wednesday last, and the other on Sunday last (Tuesday, 24 Jan
1837)
ROBERTS, John and Elizabeth ROBERTS, all of Cambria Twp, married Thursday
last, by Rev Thomas WILLIAMS (Thursday, 31 Oct 1833)
ROBERTS, Joshua, son of John of Cambria Twp, died 8th inst, aged 17 years

ROSS, John, one of the judges of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, died
suddenly in Philadelphia, Saturday morning last (Thursday, 06 Feb 1834)
ROUGERS, George Sr., native of Wales, but resided in this county for the last
30 years, died this day, aged about 80 years. Funeral will take place from
his residence in the borough tomorrow at 12 o'clock (Thursday, 17 Dec 1835)
ROWLAND, Ellis and Jane THOMAS, daughter of Rev Thomas of Jackson Twp,
married on Thursday last, by Rev William WILLIAMS (Thursday, 21 Jul 1831)
ROWLAND, Mary, wife of John, from near this place, lately from Wales, died
