O'BRIEN, George of Ebensburg, died Friday last (Thursday, 24 Apr 1834)
O'DONNELL, laborer on the railway, died Monday night last. He drowned in the
Little Conemaugh, near the large viaduct. Aged about 45. He had worked only a
few days on the railroad. (Thursday, 16 May 1832)
OGLE, Alexander, Major General, died Saturday, 1st inst, at Somerset,
Pennsylvania, aged 74 years. He was formerly a representative in Congress and
in the legislature of Pennsylvania (Thursday, 13 Sep 1832)
O'HARA, James, died Saturday last, in Allegheny Twp, aged about 50 years
(Thursday, 17 Nov 1831)
ORR, Robert, one of the associate judges of Armstrong County, died at his
residence in Kittanning, Wednesday, 4th inst in his 89th year. He was born in
County Derry, Ireland. He came to the United States in 1766, from then to
1774 he resided east of the mountains. He married ???? CULBERTSON of
Cumberland County in 1774. He removed to Westmoreland County and settled in
Hannastown in 1774. He was a Revolutionary War veteran. (Thursday, 26 Sep

OWENS, Thomas, of Ebensburg, died Thursday last at an advanced age. A long
time resident of Ebensburg (Thursday, 28 Jun 1832)
PALL, Isaac, and Sophia PRINGLE, both of Summerhill Twp, married Thursday

PIPER, George, of Jefferson, Cambria County, died Sunday after being injured
while working on the Portage Railroad on Saturday, aged about 35 years. He
left a widow and one son. He was buried in the graveyard of the Lutheran
Church of this place (Tuesday, 02 May 1837)
PIPER, William General, late of the state senate, from Bedford County, and
Catherine WHITEHILL of Harrisburg, married Friday last in Harrisburg, by Rev
Mr. DEWITT. "Better late then never" (Thursday, 21 Nov 1833)
PLUMMER, Thomas, of Ebensburg, died Saturday morning last, aged about 27
years (Thursday, 23 Feb 1832)
POWER, Thomas J Esq, assistant engineer of the Allegheny Portage Railroad and
